  • His more than 150 journal articles, books and DVDs include including his award-winning book Play Therapy: The Art of the Relationship; the 2019 2nd edition Child-Parent Relationship Therapy (CPRT): An Evidence-Based 10-Session Filial Therapy Mode, and an accompanying 2019 2nd edition Child-Parent Relationship Therapy (CPRT) Treatment Manual: An Evidence-Based 10-Session Filial Therapy Model, and the 2012 3rd edition of the Taylor & Francis Best Seller Play Therapy: The Art of the Relationship. His CPRT Model received the 2010 Best Practices in Parent/Family Education Award.

Ms. Lottie Lau

  • Bachelor of Social Sciences, Master of Education (specialized in child counseling, under the tutelage of Dr. Garry Landreth)

  • Over 27 years of experience in helping children and parents

  • She has taught play therapy for 26 years and trained over 4,800 professional counselors. Among them, it has been 19 years in the continuing professional education program of the Department of Social Work of CUHK

  • Regular seminars on "child-centered play therapy and child and parent relationship therapy" for the public and parents. Leading "Child Parent relation therapy” group for more than 70 times, training parents of over 670 families to become counselors of their own child(ren).

Mr. Louis Hou

  • Play Therapist and Psychological Counselor

  • Master of Social Sciences (Counselling), The University of Hong Kong, studying Play Therapy and Family Therapy

  • Has many years of experience in hosting child parent play therapy parent groups, counseling services and sharing for different schools, social service agencies and commercial organizations, dedicated to improving parent-child relationship and making children a better tomorrow

  • Worked as a CPRT parent group tutor for a kindergarten under the Tung Wah Group of Hospitals, and provided counseling services for children and youth in a home under the Salvation Army

Trainers

  • Currently more than thirty trainers 

  • Have a degree in social work or counseling (more than 70% of the tutors have a master's degree)

  • Received systematic play therapy training

  • Experience in leading Child Parent Relationship Therapy (CPRT) Classes
